MEET LISA

Lisa Baldwin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas. She earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arkansas State University. She is a member of the Arkansas Mental Health Counselors Association.

Prior to pursuing higher education and working as a counselor Lisa spent five years with the Division of Children and Family Services investigating reports of child maltreatment. This professional experience lead to a desire to help those who have experienced trauma. Life can be difficult for many individuals at different times throughout their lives and acutely so for those who have been unfortunately exposed to quite difficult experiences.

Lisa is interested in continuing to receive training in various therapeutic approaches that work well in addressing trauma and other barriers to living a meaningful life. Lisa has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. Lisa has worked in outpatient settings, school based, hospitals, and day treatment programs working with a wide variety of disorders and presenting issues.

Lisa enjoys building a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, who are the experts on their own lives, that will allow a comforting space to work through difficulties in life and gaining greater meaning to life. Lisa utilizes cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavior, TF-CBT, and person-centered techniques as the therapeutic relationships evolves. Lisa engages in a trauma-informed practice and provides an empathetic and compassionate persona.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and especially her pug, Gator, in her free time. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends exploring new restaurants.
